THE BEST JEWELRY ON NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
With the London Fashion Week taking place as we speak, follow along for the best jewelry pieces spotted at the Fall 2017 collections during the New York Fashion Week last week.
From arm cuffs to statement earrings, there was an element of social and political consciousness running through the various shows. Graphic tees with sayings such as “People are People” (at Christian Siriano), “Be the change you wish to see in the world” (at Alice & Olivia), “Make America New York” (at Public School) and “We will not be silenced” (at Prabal Gurung), as well as feminism quotes were proving that fashion is a powerful mean of expression.
Some designers infused their collections with fresh takes on women’s suits in a push for gender equality. Others rallied for resistance with militancy undertones and dark palettes. But what grabbed our attention, was the use of jewelry to convey these messages.
'NYFW was a master class in how to accessorise.'
Florals blossomed, on looks by Marchesa, Coach, Badgley Mischka, Delpozo and Dennis Basso, while gold jewelry kissed clothes with a hint of spring.
Here’s a roundup of some of the top jewelry trends spotted throughout the week:
