S/S 2017

Event Coverage

The world's style spotlight shifted to Britain Friday as London Fashion Week kicked off with the first in a dizzying series of shows planned for the coming days.

We have you covered with all the action from London Fashion Week, from Burberry's See-Now, Buy-Now, to House of Holland’s 10th anniversary celebrations!

The focus was on British style and creativity with bunte prints und britische tradition!
However, this time we focused on the sparkly details that can take an outfit off..

Answering the adage, “When do we want it? Now!”, the hot topic of the industry of late is the dramatic shift towards see-now, buy-now – the new fashion-show model in which brands make the collections available to buy straight from the catwalk. Burberry, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, and Topshop were among those that adopted it. An opulent affair featuring frilly blouses, velvet blazers and silky pajama shirts in a low-ceiling, carpeted warehouse, appointed with chintz-covered benches and a 21-piece live orchestra as the scenery.

Burberry London Fashion Week catwalkIn the collection, which was inspired in part by Virginia Woolf’s gender-bending, time-traveling novel “Orlando,” the complete absence of jewelry was obvious.. Mainly because of the clothes themselves were richer than one might have expected from an insta-fashion show. Elizabethan flair came in the form of flared cuffs on short shearling jackets, frilly edged and high, rufflike collars. Cotton jackets recalled doublets, as did some of the off-the-shoulder knits, while sweatshirts had ballooning sleeves with stud details around the elbow. However, for those who will adopt pieces of the look, there is no better way to pair silk and velvet, than the Golden Shadow and Smoked Topaz tones of the Sand Sparkles collection.

Teatum Jone LFW S/S 2017 catwalkDesign duo Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones opened fashion week with their debut unified show, showcasing their women’s wear and men’s wear collections together. The resulting collections for SS17 featured bold colours and silhouettes, mixed with playful prints and textures, skilful crafted together inspired by the design duo's home, Scotland.

Teatum Jone LFW S/S 2017 jewelleryWhat stole the show though, were the unique hoop earrings the models were wearing. Another proof, that big statement earrings are here to stay.. The Sparkly Crescent earrings are enormously elegant and chic, and exclusively designed for blingsense.

Mary Katratzou LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

Mary Katratzou LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

London Fashion Week designer Mary Katrantzou found inspiration in her roots for SS17. Ancient Greek motifs and themes, such as terracotta vases and women’s profiles in repose and men riding chariots into battles, where seen on blouses, skirts and dresses. The designer mixed Greek themes with psychedelic art from the 1960s which saw mini dresses crafted from perspex panels linked with chains worn over polo necks. We absolutely love it! We are indeed font of greek history and design, and very proud to support greek jewelry designers that bring their own aura to our gallery

DAKS LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

British heritage brand DAKS is best known for its sharp tailoring and luxurious accessories, the SS17 collections saw the brand delve deeper into its historical roots and be inspired by the 19th century. The resulting collection featured peg trousers with DAKS House Check, as well jackets, tunics and dresses.

DAKS LFW S/S 2017 catwalkThe combination of multiple, chunky, silver jewelry is stunning. The more you were the better! Especially when you keep the rest of the outfit monotonic. Mix and match hero pieces from our exclusive collections!

House of Holland LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

House of Holland LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

A certified picnic party, House of Holland’s 10th anniversary collection featured nostalgic ginghams and heavy embroidery with formal florals adding the ultimate girly touch. In true HoH tradition, the designer even created a number of limited edition slogan tees to reflect his first collection.

Here again, the earrings were the show stoppers, with the models wearing gold door knocker earrings teamed with sunnies and checked ties! Bold and unique. Thats our slogan!

JW Anderson LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

Creative director for Spanish label Loewe, Jonathan Anderson looked back to the Tudors for inspiration for his eponymous brand J.W Anderson SS17 collection. The Irish designer was inspired by Henry VIII in particular, which was translated into quilting reminiscent of doublets, oversized bell sleeves and long, loose fitting gowns. The collection also featured electric blue bucket handbags with rope handles as well as mouldable red backpacks, which are sure to be a hit.

JW Anderson LFW S/S 2017 catwalkAt first an elaborate collection of accessories quickly attracted attention, enabling the fledgling label to show off i ts unique design aesthetic. We liked how he paired statement earrings (only on one side) to offer a modern interpretation of the modern woman. Have a look at our earrings showcase, and find the piece that can stand on its own, like the Venus Kiss.

19th century highwayman meets cirque du soleil, Ryan Lo’s latest collection proved doll-like beauty is far from dead. Think drawn-on eyebrows, exaggerated lashes and heavy blue shadow for a clown-like aesthetic with timeless charm.

Rayan Lo LFW S/S 2017 catwalk

Romantic fantasy is the consistent theme in the life and work of Ryan. Drawing inspirations from current pop culture and childhood nostalgia, Ryan crafts his designs with an unconventional DIY approach having taught himself  to knit from YouTube tutorials. The jewelry were just dreamy, and Ryan is riding high on the seas of change to prove he's a force to be reckoned with.

Be part of a stylish tale with a set of earrings /necklace that will make your dreams come true..
