IJL International Jewellery London| blingtalks

The IJL Catwalk was a “go to” guide for the Autumn/Spring 2016/17 trends

The IJL event is the global meeting place for the jewellery industry.

The event showcases the latest product ranges from over 550 high end, finished jewelry manufacturers, designers, loose gemstones, and retail services suppliers and attracts an unparalleled range of jewelry focussed and pre-qualified buyers from 64 countries. Along with the catwalks there were various talks from business experts on social media and social influencers as well as gemstones and fashion watches.

The IJL Catwalks  that took place throughout the event gave us an insight into the new season’s forecast in the jewelry industry. With a finger on the pulse of global consumer trends, trend analysis agency and IJL partner Adorn Insight highlights 5 key themes that we’ll present them below.

Use these ideas as a springboard to create stunning looks and be sure to take note for buying your favorite pieces from blingsense and be ahead of the season!

Graphic Punch & Retro

Graphic Punch IJL | blingtalks

Bold colours and graphic shapes are the hero here! Graphic Punch is about breaking the rules and having fun, like the Moon Rainbow collection!

On the catwalk, 60's looks were matched with the Graphic Punch trend in jewelry. Straight A lines in skirts and dresses, and the good old combo of black&white equals red brings retro back! Have a look at our Solar System collection and you'll find everything you need to get the look!

Nu Form & Black

Black IJL | blingtalks

Strong architectural references are juxtaposef with organic flowing design. Nu Form is pushing the boundaries in terms of structural applications and making new rules.

Total black was the key piece for this trend. Easy to wear, easy to jewel. Gold and silver both work well with black but what will really stand out is some colored gemstones! Check out the Moon Rainbow collection and add some attitude to a neutral look or choose gold pendants to break the monotone.

Craft Tech & Boho

Boho IJL | blingtalks

Craft tech's inspiration has innovation in manufacturing of jewelry and materials as its source with a nod to stylish sustainability.

On the catwalk it was paired with a bohemian fashion attire! Boho, loves our tanned skin and leather sandals, but it also flirts with high heel ankle boots in olive green and brown and gold plated jewelry. Embrace your inner boho queen with sequins, patterned fabrics, hats and our Solbuer collection. Brown and gold shades in jewelry, also work with these color tones. Combine your sequins with the sparkly tones of golden and smokey sand of the Sand sparkles collection.

Vintage Selfie & Romantic

Vintage Selfie IJL |blingtalks

Vintage selfie in jewelry, is all about reworked vintage styles and customizable design with heraldry providing fresh new updates and direction.

On the catwalk, we shaw the pieces paired nicely with khaki tones. Khaki color loves pale pink and creme. Match a khaki shirt with baby pink and turquoise crystals. Find your tone at Daily Dots collection.

Moments in Time & Wedding Dresses

Moments I=in time IJL | blingtalks

From classic pearls to bold ornaments, engagement rings, eternity rings and something blue to statement pieces, classic with a modern twist is the new trend to reflect the pieces that are bought as one offs!
